Once there, I suggest continuing down the Pa\u00fal Valley to the coastal town of Cidade das Pombas. The final part of this route can be done by car if you\u2019re tired from the descent.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ponta de Sol \u2013 Cruzinha: This trail is longer but perfect for those who don\u2019t mind walking. The full trail starts in the town of Ponta do Sol and passes through Fontainhas, Corvo, Formiguinhas, Aranhas, Cruzinha, and Ch\u00e3 de Igreja. The route is about 14.6 km long, and the average duration is six hours. Personal verdict: It\u2019s worth every drop of sweat!<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Santo Ant\u00e3o is only accessible by sea from the neighboring island of S\u00e3o Vicente.
